Overview:
To ensure the security and controlled access of personnel, vehicles, and materials entering and leaving the rig site or company premises. Responsible for monitoring entry points, verifying identification, maintaining accurate logs, and enforcing company QHSE and security policies. Provides a professional first point of contact for visitors and supports overall site safety and integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Responsibilities:
Ensure efficient use of security equipment.
Minimize damage or loss of company assets by maintaining strict access control.
QHSE Responsibilities:
Enforce MS requirements daily
Ensure compliance with safety and security procedures.
Report any suspicious activity immediately.
Participate in emergency drills.
Maintain readiness for evacuation or lockdown procedures.
Operational:
Control access to the rig site or facility by checking ID cards, permits, and visitor passes.
Maintain accurate logs of personnel, vehicles, and materials entering/exiting.
Conduct routine inspections of gates, fences, and security equipment.
Support emergency response by guiding external responders to designated areas.
Business Planning / Continuous Improvement / Organization Efficiency:
Keep gate area organized
Ensure equipment (radios, flashlights, logbooks) is maintained
Suggest improvements in access control procedures.
People Management:
Provide clear instructions to visitors and contractors regarding site rules.
Maintain professional communication with crew members and supervisors.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Proficient written and spoken English
Basic numeric literacy
Training in security or access control procedures
Preferred: Certificate in security management or related field
Knowledge of a second language
Skills & Knowledge
Knowledge of safety and security policies
Ability to use radios, logbooks, and basic security equipment
EXPERIENCE :
Prior experience in security or gatekeeping roles
Understanding of access control and visitor management
Ability to remain alert and enforce rules consistently
Strong safety awareness and ability to respond to emergencies
