Overview:
Drives and maintains the Crew bus only as required daily, transports Personnel to and from the camp for daily crew changes, and always maintains the crew bus to a high level of housekeeping.
Key Responsibilities:
QHSE Responsibilities:
Conducts operations in a safe manner according to GOS policies and procedures.
Strict adherence to the GOS IVMS system must be followed by each specific driver.
Observes correct driving and operating procedures.
Plays an active part in HSE meetings, toolbox meetings, and all other company safety management systems.
Is responsible for the safety, well-being and good behavior of his passengers and loads.
Has a valid defensive driving license and commentary drive.
Has current and updated driving license and gate passes.
Always follows the Journey Management system.
Ensures Mobile phone usage is restricted during driving or on a hands-free system.
To confirm all personnel are wearing seat belts correctly during any crew movement.
Is responsible that the bus will not be moved until all personnel are correctly strapped in using the seat.
Operational:
Uses the driver daily checklist in an efficient manner and communicated to Rig manager.
Any deficiencies must be reported on checklist and must be communicated immediately to Rig manager and Mechanic.
Maintains the cleanliness of the vehicle.
Reports any vehicle deficiency to the Chief Mechanic and the Rig manager.
Complies with the Country speed limits and road regulations.
Maintains all service dates and vehicle safety systems on a daily basis including seat belt inspection.
People Management:
Has the ability to communicate with Rig and office personnel at all levels.
Ensures and confirms all passengers are wearing seatbelts and follow GOS driving policy.
Reports any violations of the seat belt rule.
Business Planning / Continuous Improvement / Organization Efficiency:
Monitors for service dates on bus servicing and defects.
Always keeps vehicle in good serviceable condition.
Ensures all gate passes, registration and driving licenses are current for vehicle.
All documentation is always carried in the vehicle.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have a valid country driving license for crew bus.
Must have completed the company’s certification requirements as per GOS driver training program
Preferred: One year minimum experience in a similar driver position.
Skills & Knowledge
Has undertaken specific company driver training requirements.
Understands the country laws, roads, signage and speed limits.
Obeys and follows all field speed limits for light Vehicle.
